Amongst all the rubbish I've read on this board over the years, one stands out: where a certain fella was going on about how climate change is not man made as 'there have always been cycles of warming and cooling' or whatever, and it's all a scam... part of 'the conspiracy.'
Well, even if there was far less evidence than there is that climate change is indeed man made (or rather white corporate made as I said on another post)... even if there was only the tiniest shred of evidence for that (and there are REAMS of evidence)... wouldn't it make sense to address the issues that MIGHT POSSIBLY be causing it ANYWAY?
Isn't any other attitude a bit like running full tilt ahead through a thick fog knowing that there's a cliff somewhere ahead, but you haven't yet conclusively proved that it's right ahead of you right now, so you keep on running full tilt until you fall off like a lemming?
By the way some people have a few more years to think about this stuff in their safe (for now) locations, but to those of us who live in areas that are sinking under the ocean NOW (Guyana, Bangladesh), or turning into uninhabitable desert NOW (East Africa, Iraq... you know the Euphrates is drying up right?) it's a bit more urgent.
