Today is HIM earthday. I wonder to many brothers and sisters.

Yes , i attended one of these celebrations, there was alot of chanting and of course smoking of the marijuana.

I do not think this is the best of way of celebrating Haile Selassie's birthday. The ancients did, the elders did that, are as the youth of today struggle also follow the same pattern!

to what extent is that taking our struggle forward? will chanting really change the conditions under which our people live?

It has become so dangerous to live among my own people. It is not safe to walk among my people. Even Rastas carry guns to protect themselves .

how can we make haile sellasie a living reality in our black communities?

Shouting jah rastafari surely doesnot help! smoking ganja leads to incarceration and ill health, i have seen this with many elders.

how do make HIM a reality among our people?
