The political hot potato; that is, the Los Angeles African-American Electorate.

It might prove to be politically fortunate for Los Angeles Mayor, Antonio Villaraigosa that he was vacationing in South Africa at the time of the Jackson Memorial, but quite unfortunate for Ms. Jan Perry, who will undoubtedly end up being the African-American scapegoat, when the dust settles.

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised when the Mayor decided to show some class by publically stating that it is the city’s responsibility to provide public safety, when all around him, the classless racists; the Sang-Froid Vampires were determined to squeeze yet another pint of blood from Michael Jackson and the Jackson family. Cities all over the world held impromptu memorials for MJ, some are still planning more, yet none have exhibited the tasteless, repulsive behavior displayed on the world’s stage by city officials of Los Angeles. The family, with the help of AEG, could be said to have performed their responsibility, splendidly. Had they not turned the memorial into a ticketed event, and made it available, free of charge, to the media for worldwide distribution, the very same chaos that many were predicting might have indeed ensued. The people after all were determined to pay their respects.

These same city officials were on the job while the Insurance and Banking industry, the Residential Construction industry, along with Wall Street bled the citizens of Main Street for every drop of their personal wealth; while these spineless and character-less public officials sat on their hands asleep at the wheel or in many cases complicit in the fleecing. Then to add insult to injury, their only solution is an increase in taxes and the denial of public and municipal services to the least among us; which had hitherto served to subsidize the income of too many under paid and under employed good citizens of this city. One can only hope that the Mayor’s comments weren’t driven by the obviously, politically expedient statement released by that female member of the Hahn Dynasty: The same Dynasty, for those with short memories and a forgiving hearts; that presided over the beginning and the greater part; of this most gigantic of financial meltdowns.
