Last November, California used “animal rights” to effectively ban factory farming in the state. (Prop.1 Ballot Measure) I imagine Californians made many independent farmers across the U.S. quite happy. The proponents of factory farms' main objection to the Prop.1 measure; that Californians would be subjected to meat generated from farms across the border that aren’t subject to strict U.S. standards. l.o.l! These same U.S. agencies that left the general public vulnerable to Salmonella, E-Coli, MadCow, etc. How many food scares have we had in the past decade? Or since NAFTA?
I actually see this as an endorsement of societal casting. Traditional California farmers, many of them millionaires, would have no need of government subsidies, if they were not intruded upon by landless oportunistic parasites, and a Caste society would effectively prevent this kind of intrusion/invasion. New York farmers would provide food for New Yorkers, and California farmers would provide food for Californians, each subjected to the laws of Nature that govern their region.
In the past I have often posted a quote of G.H. Massey, where he posits his view of nature’s (The Eternal) intent. I always hearken back to his words because they are so prophetic and oh so elegantly poetic. Do you recall? “We all know there is an awful deal of suffering in the world that cannot be considered as a mere individual question!--sufferings that we do not individually cause, and are not personally responsible for--sufferings bequeathed to us as individuals and as members of the State; for we have to bear the accumulated burdens of centuries on centuries of ignorance, or, worse still, of willful crime, and, worst of all, of wrong made sacred by religious sanction, and supported by Law and the Press…For, mark this, the Eternal intends to show us that humanity is one, and the family is more than the individual member, the nation is more than the family, and the human race is more than the nation. And if we do not accept the revelation lovingly, do not take to the fact kindly, why then 'tis flashed upon us terribly, by lightning of hell, if we will not have it by light of heaven, and the poor neglected scum and canaille of the nations rise up mighty in the strength of disease, and prove the oneness of humanity by killing you with the same infection.”
The people of La Gloria are currently overrun with international media. “Can you hear me now?”
