Rastafari Speaks

Re: Should Rastafari people celebrate Easter?

Greetings Rasi
I ask the question because if Rastafari people are going to celebrate a Judeo-Christian "holy" day, then what is to distinquish its livity from Judeo-Christianity?

Most Rases I know dont celebrate Xmas, thanksgiving, halloween, etc., yet Easter is ok?

I thought Rastafari came to break the yoke of mental, spiritual, and physical colonialism.

Of course people can do what they want. But is that to say because they choose to do what they want that it is a part of the Rastafari reality?

If that is the case, can white people who claim Rastafari immerse themselves in the fullness of the livity without reproach because they choose to?

I think that is what Ras Marcus was addressing in his post.

As far as your questions, I answer yes, yes, and yes.

Albeit, I am asking about religious matters while you are asking about collective security for Afrikans at home and abroad.

Peace
