Re: Be that as it may...
In Response To: Re: Be that as it may... ()

******The problem is not written language in itself. The problem is the meanings given to the words.*******

I never said or implied that there was a problem with written language.

My point is that there was human communication and overstandings and harmony and relationships with divinity before written words. My response about symbols is in response to gman's statement that written language is here to stay. It has nothing to do with interpretations or semantics or meanings.

It has to do with the belief that all of a sudden that there is written language and someone comes up with texts that it is "GOD'S" only and highest form of communication.

I am still looking for evidence that shows me how any indigenous culture was enhanced/improved by the introduction of holy writ?

I am still looking for evidence that shows me that what moses brought down from the mount as "God's law" was not already followed by human inhabitants across the globe.

Humans before and not just in Kemet had overstandings of what were called the 42 Principles/Declarations of Ma'at.

Kemet nor any other culture created/originated the realities/truths.

And Hebrews nor any other culture hold some favorited/chosen status with anyone other than their own egos.
