Then there are the numerous worldwide indigenous creation stories...and just because these and the Bible account, which is only one of them, appear to be unsophisicated does not mean they can be discounted.

Surely this attitude is a by product of the european "Age of enlightenment" with its "high point" of Darwinism.

The "blood of Jesus" is not a roman catholic thing, think, Jesus was a shemitic hebrew from the tribe of judah, the ruling tribe...when did roman catholicism come into being as a corporate institution to hijack chriatianity?...4th century a.d.

Even so the message of "the way of Jesus" spread through the known world at the time despite military powers,learning, poitical and cultural odds.
The Edict of Milan had its advantages in that true christians were no loger persecuted but under the banner of Constantine, Christianity became a passport to political, military and social advantage... to mass conversions...result corruption

It remains so today as despite the Reformation, "the Church", is in the same state of corruption.
After centuries of practice and I must add here it has nothing to do whatsoever with the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth.
