Greetings again Iyaloved, life is just the way it is and will always be, each of us are allowed to make plans as we live from day to day, but it is the great internal teacher decides, whether the plans we make will be fulfilled or be cancelled for another time or day. When the right time comes for us meet each other face to face it will just take place probably without we even planing anything. There was so many things taking place at Blackburn Center on Saturday, and as a result they were not able to get the main room, but they got what they called the reading lounge. The program started late since when we got there from the hospital at seven they were just starting for reasons which I did not try to find out, anyway as the evening went on the gathering impropved. The discussions were center around the health and health care of Elders in Shashamane Ethiopia, Jamaica and other parts of the globe. We already have a Elders health care service which is set up in Ethiopia and our African representive spoke about the progress which was made, informing us that about fourteen of our elders got their medical check up recently. Rastafari people in Jamaica are also seeking to have that same kind of health service in Ethiopia be established in Jamaica, but we are now at the investigaion stage of trying to make that happen. Interest was also expressed by Elders in Washington for the project to be established there as time goes by. There was general discussions about how best we can care for our elders and people in general and in the end a contribution of $256.73 cents was made by the community to be sent to Ethiopia to improve on the elders health program which is in existance there. Overall I think it was a very good event considering that we were talking about taking care of our people.
I heard this morning by telephone that the Iyatanya is expected to be out of the hospital today, so I wiil give them time to settle and then I will investigate later if that is really so, and I will report my finding to this African family. As always, be good to yourself and your people.
