In all fairness, there is dual Reasoning happening in this thread. The reason why I felt I wanted to comment on the title issue is because in a report that is meant to show how we are still being oppressed due to our colour, through miscommunication we are still painted as the wrongdoers. Rastafari livity has always placed an important emphasis on how words are used, and this is a prime example of why. The issue of how colourism is still rife within the black community of course is an important issue we must address, and not side step - but can't you see how a simple title wording has got us beating ourselves up about how terrible we black people are for treating eachover like that, when in fact this could have been an upful moment of realisation that there is academic research being carried out that is on our side. If that's not subconcious willie lynchism at work then I don't know what is.

I don't actually think anyone is disagreeing here. Just talking about different things, or just emphasising different details.

Most of this thread has been about mis-communication so it may be best that we just leave it alone as it's not getting us anywhere. (But of course I'm not telling anyone what to do!)
