yikes, on one forum we are currently reasoning on the nature of truth, the nature of the devine, the possibilities of an afterlife, and now you go and bring up the dread spectre of free will.
But why not.
So, you are right to pull me up. I really do have to work on my clarity. Lets see if this makes any more sense.
Yes, the environment is all important. So a more acurate vesion of what I was trying to say is you are free to choose what to be every second, but first you have to recognise what you are, and what is around you. Which I suppose begs the question of, would that really be a choice or a reflection of fundamental reality.
Lao Tsu was far more more eloquent than I am ever likely to be on this idea. And George Clinton, of course...
I am still in the process of building a paper glider, the rocket will come a little later down the track. And I may not choose to point it anywhere at all.
