In Response To: Revelation of Rastafari and the bible (selassielive)

This is a very important subject, as far as I can remember, when I entered the movement, the bible was being used seriously, and was qouted from, from time to time. The spalms of David was regular used every day and every night on a regular basis. The Proverbs of Solomon and Eclesiatics was also used frequently, and all the books of the Prophets were used regular and also qouted from. Any book which contain the word Ethiopia, was also used to point out that Ethiopia was acknowledged in the bible. But the book of Revelation, was the book which was always use to point to Rastafari as the almighty Creator, considering that it carries the information about the Kings of Kings, Lord of Lords, Conquering Lion of the Tribe of Judah etc, so this was always a focus point in Revelation.

But from my reading of the works of Marcus Garvey, when he introduced the name of Ras Tafari, he was not yet crowned, so he told those of his followers who were arouind him, that a King will be crowned in Ethiopia in the future, and that they should look up to him as black African leader. As far as I have read, Ras Tafari was introduced as a reat African leader. But when he was crowned, and having those titles which were written in the bible, then it was difficult for people not to make that connection, since the bible was a very feared book in those days, and is still very feared by some people even as we speak. Once people can prove that something is written in the bible, they acknowledge it as truth. So when people read numbers 6, which mentioned about let the locks of your hair grow, when you take the vow of a Nazarene, people just let their locks grow, for it is written in the bible. There is one question which I have been asking, but no one seems to have the answwer, who was John the Divine, since I think that he was the one who got that dream, which I think become the book of Revelation, and I think that his message was to the seven churches in Asia.
Again I send many oceans of blessings and self determination to African people everywhere
