Giving money to Katrina victims doesnt mean u care about black people.
It is PR for a lot of celebrities, black and white.
I can name plenty of white celebrites who helped Katrina victims such as Nicolas Cage, Ellen Degeneres, Cameron Diaz, Dixie Chicks, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Leonard Dicaprio, etc
Does it mean that they are down for the cause of liberating Afrikans everywhere?
Maybe so but I doubt it
I will not say the Freeman didnt care.
I think he did.
Even still, he made an silly statement.
How could someone who is supposed to be a conscious elder say such a thing?
Does he not think about what he says?
I think he is more intelligent than that.
I think he got Bill Cosby-itis.
It's all good though.
I never looked at Morgan Freeman as someone who champions for the rights of black people.
Sounds like he just wants us to shut the hell up and grin and bear it.
That is my opinion and I stand by it.
