In Response To: Re: Who feels it knows it (rob_afreeka)

Greetings.

I think we should be honest enough to admit that historically European powers have acted in a way which could very well lead one to think that there is something really off with the mentality. DNA wise, there is a logical argument that can me made that due to adaptation to harsh climates, some attributes were strengthened and some weakened Studying themes which run through Indo-European culture, religion and social structure shows war-like and dominating tendencies(a possible reflection of the survival tactics of the ancestors of such cultures). I don’t think that these tendencies make the individual necessarily, but keeping in mind the social structures in place which give those of European heritage an unfair advantage – it is especially hard for us to cut through all the b.s., even those of us with the best of intentions. Rastafari is a movement of Africans in the diaspora in direct opposition to the system of white supremacy – and it is hard for us as “white” ones to comprehend the fullness since we benefit directly from what the Rastafari movement is here to break down. I think we can identity with the Rastafari movement, but we have to keep in mind that positions of authority and direction are out of our reach because of the circumstances that I have explained – that should be part and parcel of our duty is to realize our place and part in the scheme of things.

Guidance.
