"Is'nt your insistence on holding the Amhara so tight sourced in an earlier rejection of your UNDILUTED African root? "We are all mixed" they say. But, even if one were to agree with that opinion, even if one were to acknowledge that not all his/her ancestors were 100% Black African, one could still identify oneself totally with the first ancestor."
based on your assertion, who would YOU suggest ones that call themselves Ras Tafarians identify themselves with? why is it important who ones hail as the Almighty? Is not faith personal? There is so much that Africans have in common-yet the focus seems to be continually be-what divides us, color, religion, ethnicity, nationality, continental, diasporan-etc. OK, for the sake of reasoning, lets say you find peace in "traditional African religous practices" whatever it may be, and I, your African brother hail Haile Selassie as my God and King, and this is how I find peace. Next step, two brothers at peace working together for the common good. How we pray, has no bearing on our ability to build bridges, feed the hungry, educate our children, work to eradicate HIV, etc.
"The source. The perfect Black. One could say , "When I see God in a human form, I see one who is BLACK. Pure, TOTAL BLACK."
more power to you , bredrin-see God as you please
So, is'nt your DOGGED assertion of the primacy of the Amhara explanation, not in fact a way of you disguising your SHAMEFUL desire to hold on to the semite? Your desire to dethrone BLACKNESS?
it would be shameful-if you specified WHO has these assertions. you are generalizing quite a bit.
And, why are you so afraid of the perfect Black? Why do you refuse to let go of the semite? Is it that you see the UNDILUTED indigenous culture as being too inpenetrable (i.e too 'alien')? Is this why is judeo-christianity the DEFAULT position of your spiritual sense?
semite, amhara, so on and so on-bredrin you seem to be the one with the inferiority complex. When I hail His Majesty, I dont view HIM as Haile Selassie the Amhara-He is Haile Selassie, the man I choose to view as my God and KIng. When I hail Patrice Lumumba, I dont hail his ethnic group, I give thanks and praise to the ASfrican freedom fighter, same for all African sons and dawtas.
Now, to the one who claims to be from the continent, why do you come on here muttering prayers in Amhara/hebrew?
same ol story. each line dealing with ethnicity. why dont you enlighten InI on what/who YOU pray to/for/about?
