Semite refers to the lineage of Shem, the second son of Noah. It has nothing to do with the Latin word for "half". Nowadays, Semitic is associated with Jewish people, but as we can see there are many African and Middle-Eastern people who are "Semitic".
The view from Zimbabwe is that culturally, the Semitic and Hamitic people are the same, while the Japhetic ( Indo-European) are something else.
To be more direct in my response to your query, Semite in pseudo-white supremacy- if I am understanidng you correctly- is something of a paradox. White Jews are really no different from the rest of the white population. I remember one time at a film festival in Zimbabwe, and we had vistors from the State of Israel. They attacked with gusto- much to our horror- the shellfish etc, while the few Rastafarians etc present joined the Muslims at the vegan buffet. It turned out that one of these Israelis had done some work on African Jewish communities, documentaries etc to help them bridge the gap between their compatriots who are largely of Western origin. He had travelled around Africa, and had noted that Black Jewish communities belong to a tradition much older than the Ashkenazim. For example, the Talmud, Hannukah etc are unknown.
It is rather interesting to note that white Jews are accused of plotting to subvert Western society and that Blacks are one of their tools in this plot. I have heard this one from White Nationalist groups, and Muslim Fanatics, and a Greek Orthodox chap I fell in to converstation with the other day on the bus. And also some Black groups in America, I understand Farrakhan has said something along those lines. Amazing how so many different people have this same theory. Who's fooling who then?
