"i had a SERIOUS and DANGEROUS reasoning with family members as well as others over this subject. to make a long story short, one side says that "god" was punishing all the bad people in new orleans because they have a history of mardi gras and doing witchcraft(which they associate with voodoo) and other sorts of inhumane things."
* well, "god" didn't judge correctly then. the white elite fraternity are allowed to practice all kinds of wickedness and corruption and debouchery yet they were relatively spared(and some made a KILLING - literally and figuretively and will gain much prosperity from the forthcoming rebuilding) from the consequences of the Hurricane(they have the resources to rebuild and can hire mercenaries to guard their properties until the city is rebuilt).
'High society is still dominated by these old - line families, represented by prominent figures such as former New Orleans Board of Trade President Thomas Westfeldt; Richard Freeman, scion of the family that long owned the city's Coca - Cola bottling plant; and William Boatner Reily, owner of a Louisiana coffee company. Their social pecking order is dictated by the mysterious hierarchy of 'knewes', groups with hereditary membership that participate in the annual carnival leading up to Mardi - Gras. A few blocks from Mr. O'Dwyer, in an exclusive gated community know as Audubon Place, is the home of Jams Reiss, descendent of an old - line Uptown family. When New Orleans descended into a spiral of looting and anarchy Mr. Reiss helicoptered in an Israeli security company to guard his home and that of his neighbors.'
'The power elite of New Orleans - insist that the city won't restore the old order. New Orleans before the flood was burdened by a teeming underclass, substandard schools and a high - crime rate. The new city must be something very different, Mr. Reiss says, with better services and few poor people. 'Those who want to see this city rebuilt want to see it done in a completely different way; demographically, geographically and politically, ' he says, 'I'm not just speaking for myself here. The way we've been living is not going to happen again, or we're out'.' - Wall Street Journal Sept. 8, 2005
"the otherside(which of course i side on) took a humblestanding and observatory look on such a thing, and said KNEW certain facts, one being that new orleans was below sea level and the likes, and ceratin things was inevitable to happen, nature does what nature does. this is dangerous because if god did it then what happen to the good people? and other questions arise. anyway, what r ones thoughts?"
* people can't overstand the Most High without humble standing - many cannot get passed their own conceit and continually remake "god" in their own image and have the people bowing to their false idols. Ras Heru you know - it is what is in the heart which makes a person a God or a Satan.
