Museveni is a strange person. Recently, Mugabe courted him, he was invited to Zimbabwe. We were all puzzled by this, as he was never liked and was vilified by both State and private media. In fact, most Zimbabweans took this as further indication of how low we have sunk that we should seek such for friendship.
Museveni said all the right things too- land to blacks, western imperialism etc. No doubt the reason the Ugandans did not follow up with business is the same as that of the Libyans and all the other people who have come calling and left in a huff- Zimbabwe is melting down and the only way this can turn around is if the present government, which has failed for nearly 3 decades, steps down and paves the way for a government the people want.
All this talk about Western interference is neither here nor there. The fact still remains that the Mugabe regime doesn't have the intellectual and moral capacity to run Zimbabwe.
