The original inhabitants of Southern Africa were the San and Koi people. THey are not bantu who are currently the dominant race in Southern Africa, having migrated from Central Africa.

The bantus probably migrated into Southern Africa sometime around 300 to 500 A.D. They were primarily a cattle based society, with some peasant farming practised. They produced what they personally needed but very little more, as is still the case today in most of Africa.
Nigeria a nation with rich farm potential has ZERO commercial farmers, having to import most of their food and all of their milk. That is the reason why they have extended the offer to Zimbabwe commercial farmers to come to Nigeria. Similar situation in Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique etc.
There is some thought that it was the Jews who built the Zimbabwe ruins, genetic studies have proven that current day residents near the Zimbabwe ruins have jewish high priest genes.
I have personally visited the Zimbabwe ruins, they are not very impressive as far as I was concerned.No matter, what does matter is that Africa is cursed with terrible leadership. There is no doubt that Mugabe has single handed destroyed a once thriving economy. Lack of respect for private property always results in economic problems.

As long as African leaders are held to a lower standard, as long as African leaders think its okay to simply steal other peoples property because they can Africa will never progress because investors will not invest and the great brain drain from Africa will continue,
