It is indeed a very good thing to have faith , confidence, trust, hope and expectation in ourselves our people and our beliefs, there is nothing wrong with any of that. Yet there are times when we have confidence or faith in ourselves, that we are able to accomplish a certain task, but we eventually failed to accomplish it, maybe by lock of strength, or self determination, or over estimation of our abilities etc, but that certainly does not mean, that we should not have faith in ourselves in the future, towards achieving other goals. When we have faith, it is really having confidence or trust, that a certain thing will take place, or that a certain person can be relied upon, to do a certain thing, but if these things fail to take place, or if that person fails to live up to his or her expectations, then your faith in those projects and persons have perished, but that will not stop you from having faith in other people or other projects. As it is plainly written, faith is the substance of things hope for, only of things hope for, not things which you have, for when you have something, there is no need to hope for it, considering that you already have it. It is also plainly written, that faith is the evidence of things not seen, so it is the eveidence of things not seen, not things which you are seeing, for when you are seeing something with your eyes, you can tell others what you have seen, but when you read about something, or hear about it from someone, then you can only try to imagine what that thing may be like, based on what you are told.
Through out my life time, I do and did have faith in many people and many things, some of them came through, and some of them failed to come through. I do and did believe in many things as well as people, some of them came through, and some of them failed to come through. I do and did have hope in many things, some of them came through and some of them failed to come through. Today I still have faith, hope, belief and trust in people and things, but I am alert, that my faith, hope,trust and beliefs, can be true or false, when the time of revelation comes. Knowing is knowing and believing in believing. That is all which I am trying to say.
