Well, if you can accept that parts of the ancestralist religion is rooted in the same occult relgion of the Western ruling class- your Freemasonry etc, it is easy to see how and why this happened.
We have been told that European explorers "discovered" the native peoples they found in the lands they explored. Yet, certain writerrs have asserted that there were maps of the whole world extant when Columbus, Da Gama etc first set out. There is a reason the Library at Alexandria got burned down. In Europe, these maps were in the possession of these same esoteric societies. You have Prince Henry the Navigator. Many people assume he was called that because he supported the navy and merchant fleets. Actually, Nautonnier, or Navigator, is a rank in some esoteric societies.
So, when these people came to Zimbabwe, they knew exactly what they were looking for. The Arabs had been there, and they have records of it being King Solomon's mines. One Eldad Hadani, a Jewish explorer, also travelled to Zimbabwe and said he had seen the Lost Tribes living there under the Oral Law.
When the whites came, they already knew the significance of Njelele- the shrine near where Cecil Rhodes got buried. They knew this bettter than the locals they found because these locals were recent immigrants themselves. My own paternal family bloodline has been in the area for only 400 years. The Ndebele had been less than a century in Zimbabwe when the British came in.
It is my view that within the higher echelons of the ancestralist traditions, the white masons were able to demonstrate that they were old chums. The ordinary folks were told that they were going to be oppressed by the whites because they hadn't been good little children- it is known that an ancestral spirit can be manipulated like a puppet. So much for being all powerful.
A war veteran acquaintance of mine who went on the farm invasions told me that he witnessed white farmers engaging in ceremonies presided over by a Black spirit medium.
This is just an overview. I am still to do more research in this field, but the time is near when we shall all know a lot more about the connection between the esoteric religions of the West, of Africa, of the white presence and our so-called Black nationalist leaders, and the Blacks in the West- themselves dabblers in such relgions- whose lust for certain rewards has seen them actually promote these same nationalist leaders. ( Remember Peter Tosh criss-crossing Africa in search of "medicine" to be able to turn in to a an animal)
This again takes us back to the original tone of this thread. Many of the Africans who are turning to Christianity now have dabbled in the occult and hope that in the church, the things they have raised up will go away. Some have been victims.
