Well, you have a lot of people who would want to destroy us by infiltrating and messing us up. Now, if they don't know who we are, they end up infiltrating the wrong crowd. By the time they wake up to the fact that they crashed the wrong party, we will be strong enough to deal with any further attempt on their part to confront us.
I like the idea of cloakscreens of ignorance. Take the wild stories the CIA once took seriously that Bob Marley was the leader of an international Mafia organisation called Rasta! Unbeknown to them, the leader of an African nation they invited to dinner was in fact that leader....
