Re: Seeking to understand Zimbabwe

It's not my intention to disrespect you; actually believe it or not you are one of the people I respect the most on this board. I share this computer with other people, don't spend all day on it, and sometimes I'm dropping by and making a quick post and running off. When I say I've scanned a post of yours, I don't mean I haven't read it, I mean I may not have had enough time to fully analyze it and absorb every detail of what you're saying. Everyone has character flaws and I guess one of mine is that I'm impulsive. Sometimes I want to respond to something right away when perhaps I should step back and take more time to look at it and craft a response, which might mean I wouldn't respond for a few days cos some days I can't get access to this computer at all.
That is by way of explanation but it's not an excuse, when you point it out to me (as Yan did earlier) I can't deny that there is a pattern of me perhaps making statements that could have been better considered and which I have to back down on in the end.
The number one predictor of future behavior is past behavior so I wouldn't expect you to believe me when I say I will try to be more considered in my responses in the future and make use of the quote function etc. so as to directly respond to people point by point. But hopefully you will see a change in behavior in the future cos I will try to do this.
Anyway I will bear in mind what you said about the possibility of statements being used against a cause that I believe in, and will simply refrain from commenting about Zimbabwe in the future. (Until I get a chance to go there and see for myself).
