Selassielive, you have raised a very important issue. Many Black women are just not suitable partners for a Rastafarian man. I do not know if that then encourages such a man to look for a white woman, of if that should encourage one.

Me, I don't look for a white woman or a black woman. Being a Rastafarian, I look for a Rastafarian woman. If she happens to be white, that is not a problem. What matters to me is does she believe that Haile Selassie is God, even in the face of ridicule by family and friends. Does she manifest that belief in her behaviour and conduct. I don't care how Black she is, I would not prefer a Black woman who goes to one of those funny churches and wears trousers and eats flesh over such.

I think it is these marriages with women who have no regard for Rastafari that have weakened and diluted the Rastafarian community in Zimbabwe. That is why I feel about the issue. I think that is more important for our growth than the other topic- which does raise a lot of emotions- but who really cares if dreadlocked Black men are going out with white women. If none of them are Rastafarians, this is all irrelavant and trivial. We might as well complain about Chinese and Indians or Arabs and Japanese or whatever.
