It is important to add that any time Africans speak of African unity, we are attacked as racists. This is an old school tactic. In Detroit we have Greektown and Mexicantown, but no African town as is being proposed currently. That is, a shopping district built, owned and controlled by Africans. There is so much hating and protesting going on about this, saying that it is exclusive and racist. Well, then what is Greektown? Why are our attempts to build unity and economic self determination attacked constantly? I mean all the black stations (owned by the whites) had everyone jdissing the idea that Africans can have a successful business district and calling the proposal exclusive. Wait a minute, Detroit is 85-90% black and CHaldeans and Arabs own the majority of businesses. The whites ran away from the city to get away from the blacks. So when we want our money to recirculate back into our own pockets, suddenly we are the world's biggest racists.
Then I reread a poriton of Chancellor Williams THe Destruction of BLack Civilization and he has a section on how invested whites are in attacking any show of African unity and wht lengths they will reach to discredit our goals and efforts to uplift our people. THe only reason I bring it up, is becasue this conversation sounds like what I read. FUrthermore, no one attackes onter racial groups for looking out for number one the way Africans are attacked. Lastly, we gotta stop being our own worst enemy and arguing against ideas and notions that will ultimately be for our own best interest. We waste so much time arguing over BS and looking foolish in the meantime. We don't have time for these petty argument. SO, everyone arguing should have seen the weaker arguments agianst African unity (of any way, shape or form) coming, because they are a by- product racism aimed at destroying any African attempts at self determination.
