In this I agree with you fully. Selassie told us to seek out the secular knowledge as well as following the biblical PRINCIPLES. We obviously cannot follow the bible blindly, like many wish to do. If we did that, we'd still be stoning adulterers and fornicators. We'd be sacrificing animals on altars. And don't tell me about the 'New Covenant' that Yeshua was, he was a Jew (religiously), plain and simple. He followed the Jewish laws, just with more understanding. The principles of 'love thy neighbour' is not unique to the Christian tradition, so why should we look only to Yeshua/Selassie as spiritual leaders, we should look to whoever helps us along our path to Oneness with the Almighty. As to the comment about being Rastafari, not all of us sight HIM as the Almighty. Selassie is central to our belief system, but the role he plays is easily debatable, even among us.
