now israel, because of the flame of that sun, refused to walk in the light thereof. and that sun paid no heed to israel and the israelites hated him, and it became impossible that peace should exist between them and the sun. and they raised their hands against him with staves and knives, and they wised to extinguish that son. thus they cast darkness upon the whole world. and earthquakes came and thick darkness. they had destroyed his light and they set a guard over his tomb wherin they had cast him. and he came forth where they did not look for him, and illumined the whole world. those places most hated in his light were the first sea, the last sea, ethiopia, and rom. and he paid no heed,
no heed whatsoever to israel,
and he ascended his former throne.
when solomon the king saw this vision he became disturbed. his understanding went away and he woke with a troubled mind.
the queen said to solomon, 'let me depart to my own country.' solomon gave her camels and wagons and had them laden with beautiful things. he also gave her a vessel (ark) wherin one could traverse the sea, and a vessel wherein one could traverse the wind ----- these solomon made by the wisdom which god gave him.".......the kebra nagast
