Well I find these comments very odd indeed, like a whining child who realizes that no one in the playground will play with him anymore. What I have been seeing is people on this board finally realizing how harmful this fake one love rhetoric really is to the African community. No bigotry there. Why do you feel people must support you if they realize that you are wrong? Maybe you would prefer that people blindly follow you and support you?
Well what I see is the same white privilege operating again (interesting how as much as ones try to keep these discussions off the table they keep coming up in people’s conduct.) It seems like you feel you have some right to support and to people believing and accepting your views. It seems that you think black people must go along with your views even if they realize that it is detrimental to themselves and their community. Whites always love to cry reverse discrimination and racism when blacks stand up for their rights and refuse to have whites dictate their movements.
Why on earth should we back you up? Enough black people have stood up and articulated their views and got fire for them for years, even when they were RIGHT in their views, yet you as a white person want black people to support your views blindly even to their own detriment simply because you have somehow appointed yourself as an authority on Rasta.
