What are the healing qualities of herb...well there are many that are of cure or alleviation to the human body.
If one means healing to the soul,spirit,mind ect. then how can that be accurately gauged?It is in the experience of the the individual, directly.
Call it a placebo...I ask you...what is not?What I know is that it is natural and has been used for a long time.If you use it to get high,or get 'out of it' then you will surely suffer.
Often times,those who have not much or no spiritual beleif misuse it.I see it as an amplifier of what ones personal state mind/conditioning IS, at the existing moment, which is all to do with intention.It has qualities to assist one to consiously alter that state and realise a greater way of being.It is but a tool for everything you need is within you.
It is not,therefore, neccessary to need it.
I do not beleive children,teenagers and those with low self worth should engage in smoking of it.Young ones should not smoke especially if studying as education is the absolute key and power to life and an attittude of education consistantly reinforces ones ability to learn from life humbly.
It is a different sort of meditation from others which require no herb.It should be used as a tool to explore the inner self,(if you might call it that)and be taken seriously as tool and one must be conscious and not be in a habitual movement with it.
It doesnt have to BE for any kind of preconceived concept of ones 'mysticism' as one would do well to just experience themselves naturally in the meditation of the herbal influence,as natural is the mystic.
It is a test to see how one feels without herb for a decent period of time,that way one can see what are possible underlying motivations for Ganja use.Saddhu's smoke it with such intention,or at least,that is the 'ethos'.Each person is unto themselves with all things.
If talking about 'lucidity'...then one perhaps may wish to realise that being lucid is in the eye of the beholder.The only way to greater flow of self is through a limitation of 'value judgements'.If you judge something as inferior or less or damaging...then,if it were damaging to a degree...then it would be multiplied ten fold by what perceptions of 'value judgement' you hold to it.If one beleives they are the gatekeeper to their internel world and chose to use herb as a meditation...why would you judge yourself as weak or less in the partaking of the sacrament?
'Value judgements' can only be known by how one truly feels towards ones who smoke herbs and what pre disposed attittudes you bring to those who smoke.You may not perceive that herb smoking is assisting certain individuals in their life...so that is your discearnment,very good...but how you FEEL towards them and your attittude towards them will show if you are coming from..'I am greater than you'...''you are less'.
