The use of “pagan”, “heathen”, “satanic”, “evil”, and “spooky” code-words, scare-tactics and mind-blocks are to keep the masses from sniffing around for Truth.

and yet there is evil (going against the way which was prescribed), not always necessarily overt as lying or stealing or murdering - how 'bout just not wanting to do what daddy said to do?
another term "mischief", not a "scare tactic", but an actual human problem which produces negative results or "satanic" (adverse) conditions
