What do you think of Sufis? They represent the mystical side of Islam. They are frowned upon by ultra-orthodox Muslims who disapprove of singing (apart from the call to prayer) and dancing in worship. Some orthodox Muslims also regard the Sufi goal of attaining unity with God as distasteful or even blasphemous, because in orthodox Islam man is man and God is God, and never the twain shall meet.
