Sorry to be so flippant, but your title just struck me as funny. Like 'Why I reject the weather'. For me it's like that. We can reject the goddess idea all we want, but the first human representation of divinity by our common ancestors is female. So we can reject,which is our arrogant human way, but to me it's like cutting off our arm to spite our face...
