I think the woman who wrote the article is going with the current convention that equates all prejudice. If all prejudice is equated, then it does'nt matter what you call a specific thing.

This is a trick that not everybody has seen through, which is why some people, even those with no evil intention, will easily use it.

Language can be manipulated in a way that the gravity of certain things becomes diluted. The woman who wrote the article spoke on this in another of her articles, your post on 'young black teenagers' also dealt with this practice.

So, as in this case, if a person that looks no different from the perpertrator can claim to be a victim of racism, the weight of the thing called racism is lightened, it is no longer a system directed at a specific group and, if it is no longer a thing that was designed to oppress a specific group, then a new remedy can be imposed. Which means that when the time is right, the war against racism can be declared as being over, the 'mission accomplished' banner can be brought out again.
