This thread was started with the intentions of examining if ones accepted Dr. Frances Cress Welsing's theory as stated, would we consider indigenous, hunter-gathering people who isolated sick ones based on concern their sickness might be harmful to the collective, an act of abuse?

He clearly stated that "africans may not have been ABUSIVE in the resettlement or migrations of people into the cooler climates..." So the rest of the debate that attempts to be shifting from this position is dishonest. He already accepted the possibility of the actions not being an act of abuse.

I do not accept Dr. Frances Cress Welsing's theory as stated.

An article appearing in Scientific American.com titled Researchers Identify Human Skin Color Gene states:

"The researchers then measured the effect of this gene in 308 individuals of mixed European and African heritage and determined that those who predominantly carried the threonine variant of SLC24A5 were the lightest, whereas those who predominantly carried the alanine type were the darkest. Those subjects who possessed both versions of the gene fell somewhere in between, reflecting the broad array of skin hues in the human palette."

*** I can remember an article posted on the board where Bill Cosby was making that point and discipleofthenile was trying to get ones to focus on that. I am sure that Eja, discipleofthenile and I NEVER stated or implied that Blacks are not complicit in Black crimes. We see that daily and it has been talked about on this board, so that is not what is being debated.
