The Example

Let us look at what I explained about Black Leadership in practice on this website. Here we have a website that is operated by a company under the leadership of a dark-skin Black Woman. She is the final authority on all matters regarding the direction of this company. In my view, she is the most sensitive person I know on issues that affect Blacks, especially dark-skin Blacks, and most especially dark-skin kinky-hair Black women who do not have stereotypical European features.

So to ensure we do right by all manner of people, especially those who are most affected by the system, she is relied on to give insights before actions are taken. Of course, no one is bound to accept her views or guidance, but at least we all get to consider angles that we cannot be sensitive to on an ongoing basis before actions are taken.

I definitely did not simply trust that I could be sensitive to dark-skin kinky-hair Black women who do not fit the European stereotypical size, shape and form on a continual basis, so I humble to the authority of people who are so sensitive and conscious to ensure that I remain in shape morally.

Why should I lead someone who is naturally more sensitive to the ills of the system than I? Well I cannot, and will not try. I am surely the leader for myself, and that is quite sufficient for I. I can serve.

What is the outcome of such leadership on this website?

We have evidence to go by, and not simply the defensive speculations of others. All parties, including Ras Forever, got involved serving, and so the idea of fighting for leadership was never an issue, as no one really pushed to lead. Through reason, we all saw and accepted that we ALL needed the guidance of the most sensitive persons, and allowed them be the true symbols of our works.

Ras Tyehimba, like Ras Forever, is not dark-skin kinky-hair Black African, and he also administrates this site. He does not see himself as fighting to hold down that position, and from knowing him I know he would easily give that up.

There are other light-skin mixed ones and even White ones who cooperate with and support this service, to the extent that this website has spawned a white operated website to allow some whites to ‘wet their feet’ with some of these issues by reasoning with other whites who share our similar perspectives on social development.

So in practice, as is evident here, based on MERIT and not denying anyone on the basis of race or color, we reasoned and acted upon the fact that some conscious people are naturally more sensitive to the ills of society on an ongoing basis, and their guidance is crucial for our stability and to keep us focused. It is only fitting that we honor such people, and with humility look up to them. Of course, I will firmly defend them against ALL attempts at malignment and onslaughts. It’s just natural.

It is a fitting natural order to justice, that those who get privileges in the system actually need the help of those who are denied the most (better if they are conscious) to develop spiritually. This allows for a host of symbiotic relationships to develop that benefit us all.

If people were really interested in serving Black movements, they would be focused on helping forward those who are most affected in the system. They would be serving and supporting them as they champion the struggle for reform.
