Re: Africa For Africans Those At Home and Those Ab

Greetings

I asked you a simple question, which you did not give a simple answer. Allow me to dissect your response.

"Africans in the Diaspora, have the right to go to any part of Africa which they choose to go"

This is simply not true, however ideal this may be. It is certainly not in the interest of any of the Governments in place.

"and each Government in Africa, have the responsibility, to grant land in every African country, for Africans who are in the Diaspora, and that includes Zimbabwe, regardless of what that Government official said out of his or her mouth."

If you had bothered to consider the words of the official in question you would not be saying this. Zimbabwe does not have an obligation to grant land to non-Zimbabweans, especially those who have no ancestral ties to the country. While non-Zimbabweans are welcome, there will be no special programme for Blacks born abroad. I think this is sensible for a country like Zimbabwe.

"We are anticipating, that when we achieve the United Status of the United States of Africa and her people, then we will all be called Africans, no more Nigerians, no more Kenyan, no more Zimbabwean, no more Ghanian etc, and no more border lines, there will be only an African passport for African people, and African Embassies everywhere, no more Zimbabwe, Kenyan, Nigerian, ghanian Embassies, only African Embassies."

Who is we? The people in Africa? Which people?

"An African who was born in Mama Africa, is no more an African, than an African who was born in the African Diaspora,"

I don't care how politically-incorrect this is, but this is simply not true in practice. Why can't you be proud to be Jamaican or American? There is nothing to be ashamed of in that. We love Jamaicans.

"that is a lesson which I would like you to learn."

Aren't we drifting towards Patronising Rapids here?

"Also, you must learn, that although we as Africans in the Diaspora, were not born in Africa, Africa was born in us, and we have a divine right to live in any part of Mama Africa"

I am not questioning the fact that you have an African heritage. I respect that, but I don't want you to confuse it with being African. If you were African you would be seriously moving towards returning to West Africa.

"where our spirit leads us to go and live."
Since you first came to the knowledge of Rastafari, what have you actually done towards moving to Africa, apart from making statements and "liberation works"?

This is no disrespect, or an attempt to belittle you or your work. I am simply calling for focus and realistic perspective.
