MYTHOLOGIES OF INTELLIGENCE DIFFERENCES

Intelligence tests performed on identical twins raised in different environments show some interesting conclusions concerning whether environment or genetics determine intelligence. According to Gage and Berliner, variations can be found in environmental similarity even when genetic similarity is complete as in th ecase of identical twins. Corelations were studied by Freeman, Holzinger and Newman (1937) on the differences between IQ's of identical twns reared apart and between their environments. Gage and Berliner also emphasizes that data used by Sir Cyril Bert (1966), was proven by Hernshaw to be false, (Bert, C.L.: The Genetic Determination of Differences in intelligence: A Study of Monozygotic Twins Reared Apart: British Journal of Psychology 57: 13-153-98).

The urge to prove that intelligence is basically opne way of the other, acccording to Berliner and Gage, led Bert to create what can be considered "the ultimate crime of all science, which is making false information," (Gage and Berliner, p. 98). Gage and Berliner continue to discuss their observations and bringt to reference data which show that IQ differences were wider for those who had greater advantages than others, according to the studies by Newman, Freeman, Holzinger and five judges who studied dcase materials which described the twins' environment. Newman and others also show in their study that the corelation between educational (cultural) differences in school achievement, were very high at about .90.

The corelation between IQ (and educational attainment) differences and differences in the physical condition of the home was smaller. These results indicate convincingly that differences and educational achievement differences, in as much as these were studies of identical twins reared apart, where genetic differences were non-existant." (Gage and Berliner, p. 97, 98).

The information discussed above should close any doubts about whether environment or genetics determine intelligence. In America, where Blacks have been oppressed for 500 years and in nations like India, Japan, China, Korea and South Africa, segments of populations in these nations have been deliberately and systematically oppressed (at periods in their history through occupation from oustiders). The IQ' s of those affected by repression or lack of proper education and bad environments are at the low end of the IQ test scores. The same results are seen in European nations with large, destitute classes, political repression or class, race and religious stratification.

It takes more than merely being born intelligent to apply intelligence in everyday living and circumstances. The ways and habits of the society one is raised in must be learned. It would seem that the improper teaching or improper learning (as is the custom in many Black schools ) of methods would be of no use to an individual, no matter how intelligent he or she is. It takes more than having intelligent parents (or so-called 'intelligent' genes) to gain intelligence during the full course of life. For example, language is essential to intellectual advancement and to receive and process information. When a people have been stripped of their language that they are accustomed of using to process information, they either learn the new language taught to them or they create their own and develope their own standards of intelligence and accomplishment based on fair and accurate standards.

RACE AND INTELLIGENCE: IQ TESTS AND THE INTELLIGENCE OF BLACK CHILDREN

Studies and tests have been conducted on Black babies and toddlers which show they they surpass other races in the areas of intellectual and motor development up to the age of seven years. The question is why is that? (If Blacks have some so-called predisposition to low IQ). Something very evil and disturbing happens as soon as Black children enter school and are exposed to classist or racist teachers who are usually Wazungu women. It seems that by seven to eight years old, Black children begin to slide downward in a process of destruction. This trend is reversed in schools where Black teachers and administrators are skilled and have caring for the children they teach.

Tests done on Black babies and the babies of other races show Black babies to be months ahead in the areas of holding the head firmly, supporting themselves in a sitting position, holding themselves upright, climbing steps alone and a number of other areas. These tests were conducted by Nancy Bayley, Hilda Knobloch, Judith Williams, F.B. Scott and Marcelle Gerber.

Soon after Black children enter the school system, whether private or public, they are exposed to dose upon dose of racism and attacks on their heritage, self-esteem and racial origins. Due to this, some Black children reverse the trend of early intellectual advancement and slide backward. They being to perform badly and their IQ test scores suffer as a result.

In all cases where Black people have chosen to rectify this racist paradigm and system, separate and superior Black controlled, independent schools have worked miracles. In fact, some of these schools such as Marva Collins Westside Prep and Marcus Garvey Schools have produced the best students in the United States for many years.
