If the man was using reggae music to tell his fellow Hasidim in Crown Heights Brooklyn not to be such a bunch of racist crackaz... (Gavin Cato you are not forgotten young sun of Africa and Guyana!)... and to burn a fiyah pon the Isfakei's oppressive policies in Palestine... and paid honor and respect to the Black people who he copied his music from... then I wouldn't have such a problem with him.
Now like I said I haven't heard the man's music... but as I understand it, the above is not part of his lyrical content.
I don't think ALL white people should be TOTALLY prohibited/condemned for playing African-influenced music. I don't know about Gentleman... I see a similar thing to Matsi, his music is getting airplay and recognition more so than it would have if he had been another brudda from Kingston. I have to admit I do like a couple of his songs I've heard though. One white rapper I like is SkinnyMan from the UK, cos he's just real, and he pays his proper respect to Black people, and acknowledges that most of his positive ideas on life came from Black Rasta people.
