Re: vacuum cleaner
In Response To: Re: vacuum cleaner ()

Greetings
You mentioned that water is H-H-O. Would you know that by just observing water flow?

What about atoms? Would you know atoms exist if they could not be measured?

I asked you if love could be measured.

You had no problem coming up with a physical description to define/measure something that cannot be measured physically, lest you mean physiological changes in the body attributed to love.

You have reached a paradox if you choose to not deal with measurements from theorems, hypotheses, and postulates.

How do you observe the real world with your senses if you dont rely on measurements and postulates? You senses are measuring tools.

You skin measures the presence of heat, pressure and pain.

Your eyes measures the presence of shape, color, distance.

Your ears measure the presence of vibrations.

Your nose measures the presence of odor molecules.

Your mouth measures the presence of sweet, sour, bitter, salty, and umami (protein)

In my opinion, one should not be strictly an empiricist nor a platonist (innatist).

There should be a harmony of the two.
