Re: Million march in defense of immigrant rights

Buchanan needs to focus on the causes of the restructuring of Central and South American economies such as NAFTA and CAFTA as new manifestations of the same old imperialism that has been with the area since the Conquistadores.

North, Central, and South American working people have a common cause in defeating free trade agreements at the service of international capital which many governments are lapdogs for as well as voicing the right of Central and South American nations to sovereignty and providing for their peoples rather than being vassals and plantations for the plutocrats.

This is where many white "conservatives" fail - their conservatism is myopic. "Illegal" immigration can be viewed as a symptom of displacement due to restructuring of economies. Viewed in this context, there could be a common effort between working class people in the US and indigenous peoples as a counterbalance.
