I think you took the wrong approach. It is not what one does, but how one does it. The writer's native language is not English; besides what he said creatively expressed the African concept of time and space. However, you are grammatically
correct; which demonstrates a rather intensive
colonial training on your part. It would have been more appropriate if you had called the writer aside and have a private discussion.
Instead, you try to put him down while exalting yourself on your high ass. You should also note that upon your correction of the original text; the original message being convayed was lost in the sauce. Anyhow, this is only I man's opinion and perception.
