Re: The paper bag test
In Response To: Re: The paper bag test ()

Well Ayinde, that point was made by a black man, a man that in the past had failed the 'brown paper bag test'. He was making the point that both were wrong. Don't misrepresent my views while saying I'm misrepresenting yours. I don't buy into any white propaganda about reverse racism. My point is that we should not be racist against our own who are african in mindset, but may have a lighter skin tone because of the acts of their foreparents. Colourism has nothing to do with whites from our perspective, it is our weakness and problem. Our lighter ones who hate on our darker ones, and our darker ones who hate on our lighter ones, can you not see that both are still divisive and wrong? This is about black unity, that is what I'm speaking for. Again I state that even though the whites introduced this divisiveness, they still laugh that we are fighting each other down. They have a much easier job holding us down when we are doing their dirty work for them. Marcus tried to tell us we need to unite in purity of heart. How stupid are we to fight another black man because he's not brown enough, or not dark enough, then when is any of us good enough to represent all?

To conclude, what I'm saying is I'll never see a BLACK man, no matter the depth of his complexion, who stands up for the rights of black people, and represent black people in truth and good will and tell him he's not black enough physically because he's not as dark as me. Stop tearing each other down over things we cannot control, that's my (drawn out) point...

Love, Peace, And Black Unity
