My mother is black and my father is black. My grandmothers and grandfathers are black. So I dont know about the multiracial thing. Maybe I need to do what oprah and chris tucker did.

But does it have to come down to that? Proving that I have no percentage of European genes anywhere down my lineage no matter how far?

Would it be ok then for Iman to lead a group of black youths? How about adults?

I dont sight those people as black because they dont even sight themselves as black. Blackness is much more than coal black skin. I know that here in America, they will discriminate against you if you are brown or light brown. The only reason these ones u mentioned are valued in todays time is because they are making money for the people who are pimping them. And, since they know that the majority of Black people in America are brainswashed, they know that most black people will accept them as their own...regardless if they identify with the black struggle or not.

I personally will call a light skin a house negro as well as a blue black person a house negro if there actions justify it.

I am aware of these Kelani. I just am not going to lump every brown and light brown person in the mix without even knowing where they are coming from.

True about the media representations. But I am a Rastafarian who upholds Qedamawi Haile Selassie as an Afrikan man regardless if you feel otherwise. I am not getting into the breaking down of the percentage of genes though. I think it is a shame when we have to resort to percentages of Afrikan genes to see if a leader is qualified. Blackness is much more than percentages in I opinion.
