I have a song where Bob was live and he stated that he is BLACK and so must stand up for black causes. He didn't say he's part-black...To look at a yute like Damian Marley and tell him he's not black enough, or many other caribbean black people who just happen to have a white ancestor along the way. They speak the truth because that's what Rastafari is about. How stupid are we to be arguing about the blackness of our brothers, when the white man just looks on and laugh. We need to stop the self-hatred, manifesting itself in judging each other's 'blackness'.
Funny, my white friends say they see me as a 'white' black guy because I speak proper english (when I'm not speaking to other Jamaicans). See the stereotype? We have black people who put down other black people for the same reason...you don't sound 'black' enough.
P.S. Was HIM black? Was He 'qualified' to speak on issues relating to Mama Africa, considering his mixed heritage?
Love And Peace,
Jah Melku
