Christ and Condoms...saves and destroys
In Response To: Re: There is a gray area ()

Here is where I stand

Now obviously "Rastafari Movement" is very new in the scheme of things, BUT InI been here since the beginning. Rastas been here since the beginning (which was thousands of years before Marcus Garvey).
In other words, the mindset in which the Rastafari Movement contains, is nothing new under the sun. Just the description. Also, Ras Tafari did not change or transend original indigenousity. Afrakan lifestyle of the A.D. should be no different from the Afrakan lifestyle of B.C.

Does "Christianity" represent the same mindset. See I do not overstand why the "we" who created the Earth included Christ. There was no need for Christ because Adam/man had not sinned yet. It seems like a set-up to me. It reminds me of another discussion on condoms and AIDs. Let us have condoms ready. The Afrakan will thank us and need them after we implement this "virus" and "fear of death". Also Christianity represents change from indigenity, which is the fuel for the justification of colonization of infidels/savages, supremacy and control.

Where is the gray area? You MUST accept Jesus Christ as your lord and savior and THE ONLY begotten son of God.

Not yourself
Not your community
Not your people
Not Moses
Not Kristna
Not Mohammed
Not H.I.M.

ONLY Jesus Christ. PERIOD...sounds black and white to me.

There is no praise of the manifestations of the Creator's blessings, such as water, heat, air, plants, the sun, etc. There is no connection to the cosmos and nature, so how can this be gray.

Is it possible that Christ represents a metaphor for the power of Mind and Spirit over the Body...then I can buy that...but just like Rastafari, that mindset has been here since the beginning, and that mindset is very indigenous...nothing new under the sun.

If you ask me, the greatest thing a TRUE follower of Christ could do today is denounce "Christianity" and its worldwide legacy of destruction for indigenous.
Its the vehicle, not the driver that is the problem.

But if the argument is that we should be Christians because SelassieI is...then we should be Jews because Jesus was.

Just like a poet told a catholic priest one time...
"why should I call you father when you are MY son"

4 A.D. and 1930 did not "start" anything that had not already existed.

Anyone, please correct me if erroneous.
