I do not necessarily disagree with how Rastas believe in Sellasie because of a statement I made to disciple of the nile before:
There is a Hindu term that I think is very useful in this regard - "ISHTA-DEVA." Ishta-Deva refers to that aspect of the Deity that has appeared to you. I recommend that everyone stay with his or her "Ishta-Deva," if that is what God has revealed to you.
Observing the different conditions of whites and blacks I see that they are both unique. They both need a living testament or living example. Whites are full of vanity and think they are superior - YES they believe that. Afrakans have been supressed by the white culture.
Culturally a white person needs to submit to Jesus as a humility check. The non-afrakan person needs to humble him/herself to a man that is greater than him/herself in order to respect the life (man or nature) around him.
Culturally an Afrakan needs to rise up from the supression and confusion that the white culture left them in. They need the strong, confident, yet well balanced King example.
We all need a Living Testament.
In my case, certainly the Lord Jesus is my Living Testament or Ishta Deva. So I don't necessarily deny Sellasie but he is not my living testament.
I have a question for all on this site:
How do you explain the second coming of Christ? No matter what version of Bible you read they all say that the second coming will coincide with the judgement of man, the judgement of the seven churches, the rapture, The Holy Trinity, and the judgement of the Satanic Trinity by God and that it will take place over a span of seven years.
Selassie did not deny Christ as the Messiah, and if one believes in Selassie one believes in his beliefs, so for those that do believe that Selassie is God, wouldn't that be the second coming of Christ? If so where did the other stuff that should coincide with his second coming happen.
Please help me overstand/understand.
