That is exactly the problem which is facing us today in Africa, and in the African Diaspora. There is this conception which has been in the Rastafari movement in the past, and it is extremely surprising to know, that it still exist today, it is that money is the root of all evil, but it is greed and the love for being greedy for money or anything else, which is the root of all evil. My thinking is, that each time there is a Nyabinghi Assemble, like HIS Majesty Birthday, Coronation, or whatever the gathering may be, it should be used also as a fund raiser, the black radio and television stations, should be used to broadcast these fund raisers, until it becomes a social trend, in the Rastafari community, and the money raised from time to time, should be used to established social and economic structures, to assist in removing social deprivation, from among African people everywhere.

I have mentioned this to Rastafari people, who are always quoting, the teachings of His Majesty, and I just cannot get them to agree, they consider it to be a sin, to raise money when ever there is a Nyabinghi chanting Assemble, and to tell the truth, that is the time when most Rastafari people turn out, to be involved in what is now known as the burning of Sacrament, drumming chanting prayers and dancing, and they are doing all of this, while having money right there in their pockets.

His Majesty speeches, teach about social and economical advancement for African people everywhere, and although people continue to quote his speeches, they just do not want to proceed seriously, with a social and economic part of the movement. I do think thatthis is needed, and that the divne order, must work closely with this structure, and when the structure is set up and working properly, and is being helpful to our community and people, then it should be duplicated across the Rastafari movement everywhere. Because the Rastafari movement is diverse, this may sound difficult, but it is not impossible, because, self determination, is much stronger than difficulties.
