Re: How do Rastas deal with Christmas?

There are many people outside the Rastafarian trod who abstain from meat, not because of some religious idealogy but because it is injurious to ones overall health. Most meat eaters remain ignorant of the fact that meat takes months, sometimes years to completely leave the colon. The rot sits there contaminating the rest of our bodies. Resulting in lethargy, and any number of maladies. But, who can blame them when they get so many mixed messages from advertisers. The meat industry almost brought down Oprah.

As far as the rest of the festivities, sprucing up your environment and entertaining friends and family is good for the spirit as long as one maintains a healthy perspective.
