I would have said faith was what implied doubt (ref: the apostle Thomas who doubted because he lacked sufficient faith). Belief, I would have said is a matter of choice; you choose what to believe - be it proven or not.
Examine these three statements :
'I know there are WMD in Iraq'
'I believe our president'
'I have faith in the work been done by the men searching for WMD'
The above can be aranged in any sequence.
Here is another saying: 'oro o ko enu' meaning 'words do not reject the mouth' - use them as you will, down to the one who hears if they believe, have faith in you or know the truth.
