My aunt sighted rastafari in the 70s when she was a teenager. She married a rastaman who passed away, the dather of her first two children. The father of her next two children was another Black Guyanese associated with rasta but was not really a Rastaman. He ended up beating her and she kicked him out of the house (he can still see his youths though). Her current boyfriend is another Guyanese rastaman although his views are more akin to (for eg) Ayinde's or Tyehimba's than your "Haile Selassie is the only divine personage" sort of Rastaman. Now her ex (the one who beat her before) gives her ish for dealing with this bredren, why, because he is half-Indian (black-skinned East Indian, and half African, what we call "dougla"). I don't know if that story has a point but I thought I would share it as far as an example of a Rastawoman who has dealt with both rasta and not exactly rasta man.
