...from a slightly different angle, as would seem to be my nature
Greetings,
maybe the choice of the expression 'pro-black' is not the most accurate one. It is my view that black people need my help around about as much as a fish needs a bicycle, unless it be for something increadibly specific which only I could help out with, a unlikely scenario to say the very least.
However...
i would like to think that i am pro-justice, pro-equality, pro-honour, pro-respect, and pro-life (not in the sense that the term has been captured by right wing christian fundamentalists, but the more general sense).
As black people are amongst those whose lives are most lacking in these attributes and possibilities right now, then I will do what I can to support and help, where appropriate and asked for. But it isnt simply because they are black, but because they are downpressed. I would feel equal sympathy for a brown, or for that matter white person who was suffering downpression.
And for what it is worth i do not believe that god had a colour, or gender, or shape, or form, but is manifest in all things. Which is why all must be given respect and love. The two things are inseperable. So, if you like, I am not so much pro-anyone, as pro-jah.
love and life
